What gets recorded

Six dimensions, every click, no setup.

No tagging plan, no JS snippet, no Tag Manager. The redirect runs through our servers, so every dimension lands in your dashboard automatically.

Country & city

Resolved server-side from the visitor’s IP. Paris, FR, Lagos, NG, Tokyo, JP.

Device type

Phone, tablet, or desktop. Useful for QR-code link versus desktop-share splits.

Browser

Chrome, Safari, Firefox, Edge, Brave, Arc, plus mobile webviews like Instagram and TikTok.

Operating system

macOS, Windows, Linux, iOS, Android. Versioned where the user-agent exposes it.

Referrer

Whichever site sent the click. Useful when a short link is shared further than you posted it.

Timestamp

Every visit logged to the second. Filter by day, week, or arbitrary range.

Real-time

The dashboard updates the moment a click lands.

No nightly batch. No sampling. No rolled-up estimates. The number you see is the number that actually happened — seconds ago, not hours ago.

That makes slsh.me usable as a launch dashboard: post the link, watch the feed populate, decide where to push next.

First-party

No cookies. No third-party scripts. No cookie banner needed.

The redirect server records what the browser sends with the request — user-agent, IP-derived geo, referrer — then forwards the visitor. That’s it. Nothing runs on the destination page.

Because nothing is set on the visitor and no third-party JS is loaded, slsh.me analytics doesn’t trigger consent requirements under GDPR or ePrivacy.

Yours to keep

Export to CSV or JSON. Read it back via API.

Every link’s click log can be exported on every plan, including Free. The REST API exposes the same data programmatically, with token auth.

  • GET /api/v1/links/:slug/clicks.json
  • Filter by date range, country, referrer

Questions

The honest answers.

What metrics does slsh.me record for each click?
Every click is recorded with timestamp, country, city, device type, browser, operating system, and referrer. No cookies, no fingerprinting, no third-party scripts. Data lands in your dashboard the moment a click happens.
Is the analytics real-time?
Yes. Click counts and dashboards update within seconds. No nightly batch, no sampling, no rollup delay — what you see is what happened.
Are visitors tracked across sites?
No. We use only what the browser sends with each redirect request: IP-derived geo, user-agent, and referrer. We don’t set cookies, don’t load third-party scripts on visitors, and don’t build cross-site profiles. GDPR-compliant by default.
Can I export the data?
Yes. Every link’s click log exports to CSV or JSON on every plan, including Free. The REST API exposes the same data programmatically with token auth.
How long is click history kept?
Free Slash keeps a rolling 30 days. Big Slash and above record every visit forever — even past plan downgrades, every click that already happened stays counted.
